The Wade Collectors Meet is now in its 16th year. To celebrate this, the event will have a special Betty Boop wearing a pink lustre dress and a special gold decoration butterfly. (Butterfly Betty Boop picture will be posted shortly) Only 75 of this colourway will be produced and sold on a first come first served basis. Other specials available from C&S will be a special edition set of Jubilee Betty Boop Whimsies wearing a gold and silver gown and a special pair of gold and silver Yorkshire Terrier Whimsies, only 50 pairs available of both. Also available for the first time the second piece in our Blow up Gingie-Nation series, George issued in a limited edition of only 50. Don’t miss this special 16th Wade Collectors Meet celebration. Sunday 8th July 2012, 10 – 2.00pm. You could also win a special Gold Blow Up Cat on the Wade Collectors Meet door draw. We will have hourly draws for a chance to win some special prizes. New Princess Elizabeth Whimsie
It was during the 1930s that Jessie van Hallen modelled over seventy beautiful Lady Figures for Wade some of which are being re-produced as whimsies for the Wade Collectors Club during 2012.
This year is Diamond Jubilee year in the UK and to celebrate the accession of Queen Elizabeth to the throne following the death of her father King George VI on February 6th 1952 C&S have commissioned Wade to re- produce the Jessie van Hallen figure of Princess Elizabeth as a whimsie.
In a limited edition of just 250 sets, the Princess Elizabeth Whimsie will be ready in June. The set of four Whimsies will show the princess in four different colour dresses, red, white and blue as well as one in the original colours of the piece produced in the 1930s. Wade Betty Boop – Made in England

I was recently in a well known department store overlooking the construction site of the London 2012 Olympic Stadium and I got to thinking what we actually manufacture in the UK now?
The viewing area of the store was laid out as a London 2012 souvenir shop.
I thought with all the Union Jack emblems and London 2012 logos I would purchase a souvenir of the event, so I set myself a task to find something that carries what seems to be a rarity nowadays, something that was Made in England. It could even be made in the UK.
With all the Union Jack flags, the London 2012 images and logos, I thought it would be an easy task but I was disappointed that I could not find a single item that carried a MADE IN ENGLAND – BRITAIN or UK label.
C&S Collectables Direct established in 1992 are proud that we still produce in England, something that is obviously a rarity nowadays. We are releasing a blow up version of our Whimsie-Nation Jack at the Wade Fair on Sunday March 25th 2012. Jack will be issued in a very limited edition of just 50 pieces on a first come first served basis. Standing 5″ high each piece will be boxed and issued with a numbered certificate of authenticity. We will also have a new Wade Betty Boop coloruway, Strike a Pose. Issued in a limited edition of 75, boxed and with numbered certificate of authenticity. A new Ruddy Duck Whimsie will be also available at the show with a red matt glaze finish. Only 100 of the special Ruddy Duck Whimsies have been produced. Our Wade Wheel of Fortune will be spinning for the first time this year with a new exclusive blue eye, blue beak Ruddy Duck Whimsie. Only 30 have been produced in this edition.
