New Wade Gingie-Nation Series
We are releasing a blow up version of our Whimsie-Nation Jack at the Wade Fair on Sunday March 25th 2012. Jack will be issued in a very limited edition of just 50 pieces on a first come first served basis. Standing 5″ high each piece will be boxed and issued with a numbered certificate of authenticity. We will release further blow up versions of our Whimsie-Nation miniatures in this new Gingie-Nation series at Wade events throughout 2012. New Jonah and the Whale Whimsies
You may or may not remember the Biblical story of Jonah and the Whale but did you know that Wade made a figurine of Jonah back in 1955? It was part of their Novelty Animal Figurines Set that was modelled by William Harper. These were produced for only a short period and according to The World of Wade by Mike Posgay and Ian Warner, Jonah is the hardest of the set to find. Both Jonah and the Dustbin Cat another piece in the set, were produced at the Wade factory in Northern Ireland whilst Jumbo Jim, Kitten on the Keys and Bernie and Poo, the three remaining pieces that complete the set, were made at the Manchester Pottery in Burslem. Now we are to release a new whimsie of Jonah and the Whale. C&S are sure many Wade collectors would love to have an original Jonah in their collection. Well that may not be possible as they are extremely rare and the book price for an original is £750 and you have to find one first!
The C&S whimsie of Jonah and the Whale is a limited edition of 250 sets and cost £39.99 for the set of four plus £3.50 p&p. So invest now in this beautifully detailed set – let’s hope you find an original to go with them soon! The C&S whimsie is clearly marked with a Wade/C&S incised mark and the colours are different from the original so there can be no confusion. Delivery is expected August 2012.
