The new venue for the 15th Wade
Fair proved very successful as hundreds of collectors
queued for many hours to ensure their place in the line
to be among the first to buy the many bargains on offer
at the first Wade fair of the 2002 season.
Stoke
Town Hall, where the event was held is a fine, ornate,
imposing building which was built in the 1830's when the
town was an important centre in the Potteries. Today,
since the federation of the five towns, Stoke is the
administrative centre of the area whilst Hanley is firmly
the City Centre.
On offer
from Wade Ceramics was Lil' Eastertime and the Twirly
Wirly Pig as well as a new Hip Hippo, Born to Be Sleepy.
C&S
had their limited edition honey Donkey which sold out
within the hour as well as two lucky dips with some super
prizes on offer.
With over
thirty dealers in attendance there was a lot on offer
from the early 20's to the present.
